Anger is a normal emotion that everyone experiences from time to time. Biologically, anger is meant to protect us in life and death situations. When anger is used to solve social and relationship problems it only makes the situation worse. Using anger in these circumstances is over-kill and under think. Anger comes from our lymbic system which is the animal/primitive, child part of our brain (unthinking/automatic). To solve social and relationship problems we need to use our cerebal cortex, which is our adult part of our brain (thinking/mature). This requires other skills such as assertiveness, having good boundries about how we expect to be treated by others, being able to negotiate with others to have our needs met. Being able to regulate and manage our anger is in our long-term best interest and a valuable skill to have. It is good for your health, wellbeing and career, as well as, the health and wellbeing of our society. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is predictive of your success in life, more so than intellectual intellegience (IQ).
Many of us have been hurt physically, emotionally, or sexually when we were young. That should never have happened to any of us. However, no matter how unfair that was, we owe it to ourselves to remove those thorns as soon as possible. It is these thorns that motivate us to behave abusively ro violently under stressful situations, especially in intimate relationships. That unfairness grows worse if we leave those thorns in our heart one day longer than necessary.
If you devote quality time to each session (about 2 1/2 to 3 hours), complete all the homework assignments with thoughtful answers, and practice the anger regulation techniques as instructed, you will be amazed at how much you will change for the better, and how much more rewarding your relationships with loved ones we be. All your relationships will be enhanced.
You will initally receive a comprehensive program manual, plus a CD-Rom with other resources you will need for th program. This will be sent to you through Australia Post.
I will email or post if needed, a new session each week with additional support material. You will study the session notes adn complete the homework for each session and email homework back to me. At a mutually agreeable time I will telephone you at my expense, but only to a normal landline phone. these calls are to help you get the most from each session, answer any questions, comment on your homework or anything else you wish to discuss about the sessions. Additionally, you are welcome to email me between sessions and I will reply to you within 24 hours.
I over-deliver with support and assistance during the 12 sessions. You are even welcome to contact me after you complete the program if you need to chat about anything to do with the program at no cost to you. It is my aim to help you get the most benefit from the program.
This program is suitable for Court ordered clients, however, it will be your responsibility to check with the court to see if the program meets their criteria. Click here to download and print the letter to give to the court for their approval of this program.

I believe this is the most complete, in-depth, and highly successful anger management program in Australia - if this does not work for you I doubt if any program will.
Anger management and anger regulation skills taught in the programs on this website will work exceptionally well. However, for them to work exceptionally well requires participants to be motivated to change.
Motivation to change is a vital requirement in learning any new skill, particularly for anger management and anger regulation. If your motivation is low or non-existent then it is very unlikely any new skills will be learned, no matter how good the information is or how well it is presented. Equally important is putting those skills into action in your daily life. Knowledge without action is useless.
If you are not motivated and only half-hearted about doing this work it would be better not to waste your time. I only want to work with clients who are motivated to change.
You complete all the sessions, complete all the homework assignments, and demonstrate improvement in emotional regulation. Your laminated certificate will then be sent you by Australia Post.
